MESSAGE - 5/21-22/2022
“More Blessed To Give” - Matthew 6:19-21
THEME:  You will be blessed when you give through faith in Jesus Christ.
 INTRODUCTION:
1.  Matthew 6:19-21:   “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
2.  What you ______________ is all you have.  What you ______________ God multiplies!
 I.                                      ALWAYS NEEDS                                        .
1.  Acts 20:35:  Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
2.  Luke 12:18, 20-21:    And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
 II.                                     ALWAYS SEEKS TO                                     .
1.  Mark 14:3-4, 6:   And while he was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he was reclining at table, a woman came with an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly, and she broke the flask and poured it over his head. There were some who said to themselves indignantly, “Why was the ointment wasted like that?  But Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a beautiful thing to me.
2.  Luke 9:12-13, 16-17:    Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him, “Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.” But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.” And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied.  And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
CONCLUSION:  Malachi 3:10:   Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.
WORDS:  faith, fear, give, keep, more, share.
MESSAGE - 5/14-15/2022
CONFIRMATION SUNDAY  “Never Give Up!”
Galatians 6:7-9
THEME:   Be consistent in the faith life you profess.
 INTRODUCTION:
1.  Galatians 6:7-9:  Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
2. Isaiah 43:1:  But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:  “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
 I.   WE                                   WHAT WE SOW.
1.  Hosea 10:13:  You have plowed iniquity; you have reaped injustice; you have eaten the fruit of lies.  Because you have trusted in your own way.
2. Hosea 10:12:  Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
II.  WE REAP                                   THAN WE SOW.
1.  Mark 4:20:  “But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold.”
2.  Matthew 25:21:  His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
 III.  WE REAP                                   WE SOW.
1.   Luke 18:1:  And Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
2.  Isaiah 40:28-31:  Have you not known? Have you not heard?  The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.  Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted;  but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
CONCLUSION:  Philippians 1:6:  And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
 WORDS: after, more, reap.

MOTHERS’ DAY  MESSAGE - 5/7-8/2022

Luke 15:11-24
THEME:   God is reaching out to prodigals through you.
 INTRODUCTION:
1.  Romans 3:10-12: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.  All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
2. Isaiah 1:2-3:  Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth; for the Lord has spoken:  “Children have I reared and brought up, but they have rebelled against me.  The ox knows its owner, and the donkey its master's crib, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”
 I.   THE PROBLEM WITH PRODIGALS…
1.  vv. 11-13:  And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living.
